On January 8, 2009 there was a new feeling inside of the 40,000 square foot Sports University Health Club and Performance Training Center located at 22 Madison Road in Fairfield. With a 6-month total renovation of the health club completed, expectations were high as Sports University Health Club unmasked itself with its member appreciation night and grand re-opening. Members, guests and local dignitaries were greeted with valet parking and a catering staff as they walked into the new 30 foot high granite, steel and wood atrium reception area and continued to tour the West Essex area’s premiere health club. Throughout the grand re-opening party, Sports University Health Club’s guests experienced the “new U” which promotes health, athleticism, and a new way of training where every participant trains like an athlete in a friendly supportive environment.
The owners of Sports University Brian Catanzarite, Michael Jarmolowich and Nicholas Kaiser stood proud as Fairfield Mayor James Gasparini cut the re-opening ribbon. According to co-owner Brian Catanzarite “it’s great to see such a big turn-out. So much has changed in the 16 months that we have owned Sports University Health Club. Sports University is without question the best facility and best health club value in the area. I’m excited to see what the future holds for this beautiful facility”.
