KIDS PROGRAMS

Kiddie Sports and Fundamentals First are classes designed to introduce young boys and girls to the basic fundamentals of a variety of sports through fun-filled drills and games designed for preschoolers to develop motor skills, cooperation and a healthy interest in active sports.

Children will play on 6 foot baskets, kick soccer balls into goals, shoot to score in hockey, take a swing at baseballs, hit off a tee, throw and kick footballs, and bowl a few frames. The emphasis is on teamwork and sportsmanship. We encourage kids to try their best and have fun. Kiddie Sports classes are taught at Sports University as well as off-site at various recreational centers, schools and facilities. All of the classes are overseen by Coach Joe.

FUNDAMENTAL ATHLETE (AGES 6-9)

FUNdamental Athlete Program is our Youth Speed & Agility sports class. FUN Athlete will put young athletes on the right track for athletic success and build confidence in their participation of all sports. Athlete – Coach ratio is 8:1. Classes will start on Tuesday, July 6.

F.I.T KID (FUN IN TRAINING)

FIT KID is designed to provide a fun environment where young athletes will have a positive experience and build confidence in their participation of all sports. Class are small groups and are one hour long.

FUNDAMENTALS FIRST SUMMER SPORTS CAMP

Be a part of our SUMMER all-sports camp for 3.5-5 yr olds. All Fundamentals First sports will be covered with fun filled games and contests. We will shoot on 6 ft. baskets, kick soccer balls into goals, shoot to score in hockey and take a swing at baseball. Children will learn to pitch and putt golf balls, punt, pass, and kick footballs, bowl a few frames, climb ROCK walls and run relay races. The emphasis will be on teamwork, sportsmanship and motor skill development.* Bring a snack!

HARDCORE HOOPS BASKETBALL CAMP

Areas covered include: ball-handling, passing, shooting (stationary, off movement, and off the dribble), rebounding, defense (zone, man to man, traps), and basic positioning on the floor offensively and defensively. The camp will also include Basketball specific speed/agility and strength training. Emphasis will be on developing fundamentals. Games will be played daily to incorporate skill development into game situations.

9th-10th GRADE BOYS SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Sports University will be holding an 8 week league for 9th - 10th graders. With officials, wall-mounted scoreboards and supervised by Sports University staff at their facility in Fairfield.
Deadline for applications is June 25th.
